YHCCF Strengthens Cambodia-China Cultural Exchange through Heritage DialogueYouth House for Cambodia-China Friendship delegated Mr. Kong Pitou, International Relations Manager, to participate in the China-ASEAN Cultural Heritage Dialogue and Field Visit held in Gansu Province, People’s Republic of China, from 18 to 22 June 2025. The visit aimed to promote exchange, mutual learning, and cooperation on cultural heritage protection between China and ASEAN countries. Held under the theme “Unlock Development Wisdom through Heritage Protection,” the Dialogue brought together representatives from government institutions, universities, research centers, cultural organizations, media, and youth from China and ASEAN. The event highlighted the importance of cultural heritage as a valuable resource for social cohesion, innovation, and sustainable development. During the Dialogue, Mr. Kong Pitou contributed as a guest speaker, delivering a presentation on “Youth and the Future of Cultural Heritage Protection.” In his remarks, he emphasized that cultural heritage serves as a bridge connecting generations, strengthening intercultural understanding, and fostering regional cooperation. He noted that young people are playing an increasingly important role in heritage preservation through innovation, technology, and public engagement, while also facing challenges such as limited training opportunities and the pressures of modernization.Read more
