Official Opening Ceremony of the Cambodia–China Friendship Exchange Forum “Silk Road: Connecting People to People” 2025

The official opening ceremony of the Cambodia–China Friendship Exchange Forum “Silk Road: Connecting People to People” 2025 under the theme “All-Weather Strong Friendship Connecting the Hearts of the People” was presided over by H.E. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service, as the distinguished representative of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with H.E. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The ceremony was attended by approximately 300 participants, including Cambodian leaders, private-sector representatives, university leaders, entrepreneurs, scholars and researchers, artists, youth, and media representatives from both Cambodia and China.

This annual forum aims to strengthen and connect existing cooperation while fostering new partnerships among the private sector, universities, research institutions, and organizations/associations. It also seeks to enhance mutual understanding, build trust and consensus between the peoples of Cambodia and China, and contribute to the joint building of a Cambodia–China community with a shared future.

The Cambodia–China Friendship Exchange Forum “Silk Road: Connecting People to People” 2025 is co-organized by the Youth House for Cambodia–China Friendship and the China Foundation for Peace and Development, with the support of the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cambodia. The forum took place from 14–16 December 2025.
